ideally it would be nice the bottom and tops were not on the same pan, but after reading reviews i cooked the bottom in the middle of the oven and the top on the side and it came out well. sprayed it with baking pam and it didn't stick at all.

this pan makes a cute cake and was delivered very quickly. would use dealer again

i love this pan. it's well made and i love that's it's non stick. i totally agree with some of the other reviewers when they say you'll need to practice a few times to get it just right. my first cake was cute but unimpressive. i didn't ice it or level it properly so it was a little lopsided. plus, the top was overcooked since it bakes so much faster than the bottom because it's shallow (this can be easily remedied by starting the bottom first then the top a little later). i now pour melted chocolate in the bottom pan to make the "paper wrapper." i distribute it evenly and then leave in the fridge to harden. it looks really nice in the finished product and makes a world of difference. it's extra work but worth it.

This is a good product. It is well made, and it actually DOES come with directions - not sure what those other folks received. However, if you don't anticipate at least a 4 hour cake project, do not buy this product. The bake time alone is 70 minutes, but the finished product was DELISH! The recipe that is included: chocolate chip pound cake, is absolutely decadent, but it is a 'from scratch' recipe and so took a bit more time. For the decorating part, you MUST have decorator tips/bags or a Wilton decorator gun. I used both and the gun fared much better with smoother control. TIP: if using canned icing, slightly chill before using otherwise it will fall right off of the cake. I topped with jumbo confetti sprinkles to cover the oops spots (I'm sure it will get easier with practice) and it turned out really cute. Everyone was really impressed! I can see how a boxed mix would be too soft and so toughening up with use of dry pudding mix or an extra egg as one review suggested would be in order.

I must say I was very excited to use this product after receiving it as a gift for Christmas. Every time that I've used it the cupcake has not come out of the pan no matter what I used to grease it or how much I greased it. And every single time I've attempted to assemble the blasted thing it would fall apart. Not to mention the cupcake wouldn't cook evenly and the lack of directions included with the pan. I've moved the pan to the attic until I can purchase some large cupcake wrappers. At least that might solve half of the problem.

I bought these to use with the Baker's Secret Giant muffin baking pan. They work, but they don't seem to be an exact fit for the muffin pan.

when i saw this product it was a suggestion after i had put a giant cupcake pan in my cart, so i guess i figured it was a giant cupcake liner for my giant pan...but alas it was not. It's just a larger then normal cup for a regular muffin pan. ill still use them but i felt misled

I bought a large muffin pan and couldn't find the paper liners in my local stores. So, I got these. They work as you would expect, but the only thing that I didn't like about them is that the bottom of the cups were too wide for my muffin tin and they didn't fit as well as I would have liked. They still did the job though so I would probably buy them again.

What a surprise! they fit in my muffin tray----I couldn't find them anywhere...great service-quick delivery...thank you

good thickness of paper weight and fit perfect in my "texas" muffin tin. By the way perfect for a childs personal 1st birthday cake.

I make these black bottom cupcakes, those dense, chocolate ones with the cream cheese/chocolate chip middle. Gosh they are the bomb! With paper liners, these cupcakes don't cleanly release. Recently for a bake sale, I made these cupcakes in silicone cups the night before. I used a rimmed baking sheet..no muffin pan necessary! I baked and cooled them and placed the cupcakes in a cupcake carrier. Put the carrier in the frig overnite. Does wonders for the texture.. nice and moist. I took them out the next day and removed the silicone cups. The silicone cups removed cleanly and I know partly because they were chilled. I dropped the cupcakes in a paper liner and put them back in the cupcake carrier. Topped them with whipped ganache.. yum.. and headed off to work for the bake sale. The purchasers of the cupcakes commented how nice it was there was no paper liner to remove. Perfect solution! re: to cleaning. What I do is turn them inside out and put them in a sink or large bowl with liquid detergent and water.. get it all nice and bubbly. Then dig in and rub them together and get them squeaky clean, then rinse and drain. I just let them air dry in an empty sink or drain board. I have also filled these cups with chick stock and put them in a rectangular tray that fit into my ice cube bin. Of course I turned off the ice maker. After they were frozen, popped them out and put the frozen stock in a freezer bag. Don't forget to turn the ice maker back on!

Nice colorful silicon cups. I used them to make a baby shower centerpiece/gift. I filled them with onesies, rolled to look like cupcakes. Then I placed them on a dish and wrapped it in tule and ribbons...

Pros: Easy to store, lightweight and stackable Easy to unmold, came off easily without any greasing the first 2 times I've used it. Reading the other comments I might grease it the next timne I use it though. No need to buy paper liners. You can serve the cupcakes in them or peel them off and serve. Cons: Have a tendency to retain the smell of soap so rinse thoroughly before use lest your cakes taste soapy These cupcake molds are very thin so be careful while peeling them off. I was a little rash and tore one:( Not very dishwasher friendly. Better to wash them by hand Still think they are a good buy since I always forget to get liners. I have also used the silicone bundt pan and found it great. If you want to see pictures and recipes I've used see [...]

I really enjoy using the silicone baking cups. I like that I can reuse them over and over and I don't need a cupcake pan to use them. However, the cups do fit in the pan if you want to use it. Some tips: I do spray them with pam before. I love the fill line on each cup which makes it easy to have the same amount for each cupcake. After the cupcakes have cooled I'm able to push the cupcakes right out. After I am finished with the cup I do wash them so that there is no time for any of the cupcake to get stuck on the cup. I love them. You should give them a try :)

I needed more of these baking cups to make a large quantity of cupcakes for a party. They were wonderful and would purchase from this company again. Thanks!!!

I totally love these pans! I used them at Bible school. Our theme was "Adventure on the High Seas" so of course we had to have pirates! We baked skull muffins and put an icing eyepatch on them. The kids loved them!

I bought this pan with very high hopes. They definitely make cool cupcakes, the only problem is the details on the skull aren't deep enough, and I haven't quite figured out any sort of frosting you can use without making all the facial features disappear and your cupcake just looking like a weird round thing.... I still very much enjoy these, and am going to try maybe making chocolates or something with it.

My mother in law bought this for our two year old daughter and she absolutely loves it! Although she has not fully had the opportunity to benefit from the educational aspect of the toy, my daughter loves to bring us cupcakes and take them apart, put them together and put them back in the tray. She always finds new ways to play with the cupcakes and they are one of her toys that she always goes back to. Great durable product with lots of value.

I bought this for my 2 year old niece for her birthday. She loved it! She had recently learned to say "cupcake" so it made it even more interesting for her. She was having trouble with recognizing shapes, so this was a good education gift that she enjoyed. It was also great for hand-eye coordination since she has to line up the shapes in the top and bottom.

This is super great for helping your child with their motor skills! They are bright and colorful. They are safe and durable too!

I bought these cupcakes for my 2 year old daughter, for Christmas, after discovering the entire line of Smart Snack toys on Amazon. These realistic-looking cupcakes are one of her favorite toys. She plays with them everyday. She does not always play with them as they were intended (shape matching) but she carries them in her purse and plays with them in her kitchen. When we have play groups they are always used by all the children. They are made from a very durable yet slightly flexible plastic. You will not regret purchasing this toy for your child. They also make a great birthday gift!!

My kids love cupcakes (or anything sweet really) so this is a fun toy without all the actual sugar intake. They like to pretend to bake them in their play kitchen (and the tray is small enough to fit in their smallish oven, as opposed to other cookie sets, etc.). They also like to pull them apart to sort the shapes (the cupcake with the star sprinkles fits into the cup with the star shape), and then also place them in the right spot in the tray. It's a simple product, but they seem to go to them again and again. (kids are aged 3 and 19 months)

The perfect little set for your budding baker! The recipes are easy and yummy too! My 6 yr. old, 8 yr. old and 10 yr. old were making filled cupcakes the first evening after they received these. When they were finished the cupcakes looked adorable and tasted delicious! They have made several batches now and keep asking to make more.

I gave this to my grandaughter for her 4th birthday last winter. We have had so much fun baking the various recipes together this year. She calls the colorful recipe cards "menus" and delights in studying them and ultimately choosing which "menu" we will bake next. Once baked, we discuss which recipe we like best! Yes baking in small sizes is a little labor intensive, but I remember so well baking minature things when I was a child and how special it was to me. I wouldn't trade the special time my grandaughter and I have shared baking together this past year for anything. I think this will be a memorable experience for her as well!

Do not waste your time or money. The recipes taste terrible, pieces fell apart! If your little one really wants to make cupcakes, go to a supply store and buy the real thing.

Great idea, some of the components are very sturdy, such as the cupcake pan, the part that should be the most fun, especially for preschool girls, is the cupcake frosting squirter. Bake up some cupcakes with the neat pan, load up the frosting dispenser and you find that the lid that is supposed to screw on pops off with the slightest pressure, as an adult you can awkwardly grab it with both hands to force the lid to stay in place while squirting out some frosting, but as a little kid with small hands, this isimpossible. I have no idea why the lid to the forsting thing was not fully threaded, what a disappointment to what otherwise would have been a great idea.

My eight year old daughter wanted a different decorator toy for Christmas, but after reading reviews, I got this one. It's been great. Easy to put together and easy to use. It also seems pretty durable. We haven't tried all of the tips yet, but the ones we did use were good. Minimal mess (it is frosting after all!). No frustration after I figured out not to fill it all the way to the top. I am not a baker! We also used multiple mini muffin pans.
