Chicago Metallic Professional 2-Piece Angel Food Cake Pan with FeetReviewsA great cake pan. Two piece construction which adds in getting the cake out. Works well for all my baking needs. I fell in love with the pan when I saw it. I had been searching for a cake pan with more than the average depth for a while, and I knew that I would be adding a much wanted and needed piece to my bakeware collection. Although it was advertised as a 2 piece cake pan, I did not consider the posible implications. I am skeptical to use it because I am afraid of leakage. Returning the pan is not an option. Until I am certain of the outcome, the pan will sit in my pantry. I feel as though I have wasted my money. Maybe the cake pan can be turned into a flower pot If nothing else, I enjoyed the experience of shopping at Amazon. The prompt service was excellent.Until I know more about the cake pan, I can't give it the review it deserves As another reviewer stated, the dimensions in the Amazon product listing are wrong! I haven't used the pan yet, so can't comment on its performance--but be warned that this pan is NOT 10.5" as stated, but is 9.5". Annoying, since I bought the pan specifically because I was looking for 10.5" diameter. This pan was rated highly by Cook's Country (offshoot of Cooks Illustrated) so I'm sure it will perform well, but disappointed that Amazon didn't get the listing info right. Love this pan!! I'm a relatively new (and enthusiastic!) baker and have baked some nicely browned cakes w this tube pan so far. The legs allow for faster cooling. Also, prepping the pan and having the cake slide out easily are a breeze because of the removable bottom. I've experience no batter leaks whatsoever. NOTE: make sure you dry pan properly after each wash; otherwise, some rust will form underneath the rim. I DEFINITELY recommend. My aunt (who has been cooking forever and quite possibly the best cook east of Mississippi-- *smiles*) gave me her cocunut pound cake recipe and she told me I had to use a tube pan--preferrably a two piece one. So I got to hunting one down and I am so glad I picked this one! The little feet were a little awkward for me, but I am sure that is just because I am not an experienced baker. The only other thing I would not is that make sure you put a cookie sheet or something under this pan when in the oven because it is a two-piece pan and there were probably five drops or so of batter that dripped out of the bottom. I really had my doubts how that thing was gonna hold up and not completely spill out in the oven--but it did great! The old fashioned pound cake turned out great!!! It cooked beautifully--and so smooth--it didn't stick at all! I am so glad I ordered this one and it worked great!! I will use again and again! Average Rating:![]() |

Wilton Angel Food Pan, 10 InchReviewsI gave this pan as a Christmas gift. It LEAKS. It does NOT keep the cake mix in the pan as it should, and even if you put a cookie sheet under it, it will leak out the cake mix, and not raise as it supposed to. Of course this could be due to the fact that my first order came through without the bottom piece...But I did return it for a complete set. Not sure now if it was a complete set, or just two different pieces of a set they put together? All in all, I wouldn't recomment this pan to anyone! I replaced my decades old bent up pan with a non-stick one. My cakes would not rise. Ordered this one and my cakes are high and tasty again! When I discovered I had lost my reliable, 20-year-old, angel food pan, I borrowed one from a neighbor. That pan leaked cake batter from the bottom. I then went to Amazon and found Wilton Angel Food Pan, 10 Inch. I ordered it even though I feared the quality of a newer pan might not match that of my old one. The pan works as well as my old one; bakes evenly and does not leak batter. It is not non-stick as that surface is undesirable for some cakes. This is a great pan, The non stick always burn this one is a traditional pan that cooks great. MY CHERISHED ANGEL FOOD PAN I HAD FOR MANY YEARS WAS LOST WHEN I MOVED. THANK YOU FOR TRUTH IN ADVERTISING AND HAVING EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED - IT WAS PRICED RIGHT AND DELIVERED IN A TIMELY FASHION. Average Rating:![]() |

Calphalon Classic Bakeware 10-Inch Round Nonstick Angel Food Cake PanReviewsLove Calphalon cookware and was glad to see a pound cake pan and a decent price. I got this for my husbands birthday and he loves it. I bought this pan to start making angel food cakes, but decided to try making a sunshine cake in it first (a few less eggs wasted in case of a disaster). The cake rose and browned very evenly, and it was the perfect texture. I inverted the pan when cooling the cake as the recipe directed. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience of the cake "almost falling out of the pan". The cake did not want to want to budge. I had a very, very difficult time removing the cake and it was not very pretty to look at in the end. Next time, I guess I will have to try parchment paper at the bottom of the pan. This pan worked alright for me. I was expecting it to be a little deeper. Arrived quickly. It was a gift for my mom who absolutely love Calphalon. It may be a little more than other brands, but the quality is worth the price. Highly recommended! I Purchased two of these pans and they are the best cake pans I've ever used. I bake a lot of pound cakes and I don't have to worry about cake batter leaking out of the bottom of the pan or spilling over the top of the pan. Cakes don't stick to the pan and always come out perfect. It is also easy to clean. I recommend this pan to anyone who bakes angel food or pound cakes. Average Rating:![]() |
