I was very excited about receiving this for my daughter's first birthday party. However, the cake did not turn out as expected. Both sides domed.... I tried to cut the dome down, but the cake started falling apart. It may have been the mixed I used, but it tasted fine. But, it was the ugliest cake ever.

My granddaughter was having a party for her first birthday and my daughter wanted a cupcake theme. She came across this cake mold on Amazon and it was perfect. Before purchasing I read the previous reviews and baking hints and it sounded easy. My daughter and I performed a "trial run" a few days before the event to make sure we baked the perfect cake. After tweaking some of the suggestions, we baked it again the night before the party and it came out fabulous! It was easy and fun and we would recommend this cake mold for even those who do not consider themselves savvy in the kitchen.

This is a high quality pan. I read the previous reviews and suggestions on amount of batter, baking time, etc. before I made my first cup cake. It turned out great - did not stick at all. I played around with the correct icing tip to make the bottom look like a cup cake paper - tip 1M worked great. I hollowed out the middle a bit to add some lemon filling. Its a fun cake to make.

This cupcake turns out cute, and makes a great gift, although, beware, this isn't a good cake for a group (a party for instance). The finished product is certainly not big enough for more than 3-4 people to share, at most. And, much as I've tried, I cannot cook both sides at once. I've tried various depths of batter on either side with the same result. No matter how much batter you put in, because of the shape, the top of the cake cooks faster than the bottom does. So, if you cook both together, in order to have your bottom cook all the way through, your top burns. Or your top is perfect and the bottom not cooked in the middle. So, I have to cook each side individually, making for a rather time consuming process. Or maybe I need to buy another pan so one can cook the top and the other the bottom...

Instructions could have been clearer. No instruction on how to clean item. And no instructions as to how much mix to add to pan.

I needed more of these baking cups to make a large quantity of cupcakes for a party. They were wonderful and would purchase from this company again. Thanks!!!

I have wanted to try these for quite a while since I enjoy baking so much. I did find they are a little smaller than regular cupcake liners and you need to be careful to not overfill. If you overfill, they will overflow a bit and make a mess. It's nice to be able to bake more than a dozen at a time since more of these will fit on a cookie sheet to bake. I also discovered that if you try to remove cupcakes/muffins immediately, they do still stick a little. If you wait a few minutes to remove, they come out very easily. A little more difficult to clean than regular pans you can stick in the dishwasher, but I've discovered that any higher quality item is better for handwashing anyway. Overall, if you enjoy baking, I do recommend these.

These liners have revolutionized my muffin baking. My mini scone pan and paper liners both stick to corn muffins made using my usual recipe--the muffins popped right out of these. I tried them again yesterday on fat-free muffins from a mix, which I was sure would stick hopelessly (fat-free baked goods are infamous for this), but again, they popped right out. I understand you can also use them without a muffin tin, though I haven't tried that. Just let your baked goods cool for a few minutes in the cups, then gently squeeze from a couple of angles and they'll come out flawlessly. These are worth every penny.

In my opinion, these cups are a bit small. They also have some reinforced thread around the middle, which actually makes it harder to remove them, since they won't spread. I suppose it does make them stand up on their own, but I always use them in a muffin tin, so that's not useful. That and the slightly rough texture seem to defeat the purpose. I've seen other types that are much better, slip off easily and are a bit larger.

We make our own dog food, and got tired of scraping out the mini meatloafs from muffin pans. These have been the best! The dog food just pops right out, and clean up is a breeze since they're dishwasher safe.

Oneida 24-Count Cupcake Carrying Case Oneida 24-Count Cupcake Carrying Case

Reviews

The latches pop off a lot on this carrier, but other than that, it's nice.

I love that it came with a cupcake baking tin, which makes up the bottom of it. It was like getting 2 products for one price. It's great for carrying cupcakes and storing them maybe one or 2 nights. Any longer and the cupcakes start to lose moisture. So if your cupcakes aren't all eaten right away you probably want to store them elsewhere. You have to be careful placing the top rack on top of the baking tin, but other than that it's really nice.

It seemed odd to me that only one tray is metal for baking, so you can bake 12 cupakes and carry 24 (after baking the other 12 in another pan). I didn't have long to worry about it, though, because my husband dropped it and the plastic lid shattered. Oh well, I can still use the metal cupcake pan to bake 12 cupcakes...

I never actually got to experience the plastic top layer sagging, as the handle issues got me first! With the first carrier I received, a small piece of the handle broke off, so that the container no longer latched. With the replacement, one handle just refused to latch from the get go. All said and done, I got a refund and purchased a Wilton cupcake carrier instead (with easy to use latches and made of a very sturdy plastic.)

I've had this product for about a year now and have been thrilled with it. I often bring muffins or cupcakes into work and found this to be challenging since I've never found cupcake pans that come with covers (unlike 9x13 inch pans which are pretty easy to find with covers). I had tried using tupperware containers but often the cupcakes were too high and smudged or got damaged because they didn't fit snuggly. Overall this product has remedied all these problems for me. I like that the bottom pan can actually be used for baking. I often choose to use another pan because I have others I like better but overall it's a better than average pan. The nonstick surface is great and it is not made of dark metal so it does not cause muffins or cupcakes to brown too quickly. I haven't had the problems other reviewers mentioned with smudging. However, most of the muffins I make are frosting-free and my cupcakes typically only have a simple layer of frosting (not high) with few extra embellishments. Overall I would definitely recommend this. It's a little bit sizeable and bulky so I had a hard time figuring out where to store it in a small apartment kitchen. However, it's quite sturdy and easily transports my cupcakes to and from their destination without damage.

I bought this pan with very high hopes. They definitely make cool cupcakes, the only problem is the details on the skull aren't deep enough, and I haven't quite figured out any sort of frosting you can use without making all the facial features disappear and your cupcake just looking like a weird round thing.... I still very much enjoy these, and am going to try maybe making chocolates or something with it.

Smart Snacks Sorting Shapes Cupcakes Smart Snacks Sorting Shapes Cupcakes

I bought these cupcakes for my 2 year old daughter, for Christmas, after discovering the entire line of Smart Snack toys on Amazon. These realistic-looking cupcakes are one of her favorite toys. She plays with them everyday. She does not always play with them as they were intended (shape matching) but she carries them in her purse and plays with them in her kitchen. When we have play groups they are always used by all the children. They are made from a very durable yet slightly flexible plastic. You will not regret purchasing this toy for your child. They also make a great birthday gift!!

My kids love cupcakes (or anything sweet really) so this is a fun toy without all the actual sugar intake. They like to pretend to bake them in their play kitchen (and the tray is small enough to fit in their smallish oven, as opposed to other cookie sets, etc.). They also like to pull them apart to sort the shapes (the cupcake with the star sprinkles fits into the cup with the star shape), and then also place them in the right spot in the tray. It's a simple product, but they seem to go to them again and again. (kids are aged 3 and 19 months)

I bought this after my daughter fell in love with it at a friend's house. She still loves to play with it. I bought it for my 14 month old but my 3 year old also plays with it. It is a great matching game as well as a durable and fun kitchen play food!

I purchased these for my 3yr old for Christmas. I was very impressed with the quality of the toy. I wanted play food for her kitchen that was durable, unlike the cheap 100 pc sets. Not only does she enjoy them in pretend play, we also play shape sorting games with them. You get two uses in one great toy.

This is a GREAT toy! I bought this for my 22mo old daughter and she loves it! and so does my 4 year old! It is a solid toy that not only can be used as a puzzle but it is also a great Dramatic Play toy! Overall excellent, I have no bad feedback for this toy!

The perfect little set for your budding baker! The recipes are easy and yummy too! My 6 yr. old, 8 yr. old and 10 yr. old were making filled cupcakes the first evening after they received these. When they were finished the cupcakes looked adorable and tasted delicious! They have made several batches now and keep asking to make more.

I gave this to my grandaughter for her 4th birthday last winter. We have had so much fun baking the various recipes together this year. She calls the colorful recipe cards "menus" and delights in studying them and ultimately choosing which "menu" we will bake next. Once baked, we discuss which recipe we like best! Yes baking in small sizes is a little labor intensive, but I remember so well baking minature things when I was a child and how special it was to me. I wouldn't trade the special time my grandaughter and I have shared baking together this past year for anything. I think this will be a memorable experience for her as well!

Do not waste your time or money. The recipes taste terrible, pieces fell apart! If your little one really wants to make cupcakes, go to a supply store and buy the real thing.

Great idea, some of the components are very sturdy, such as the cupcake pan, the part that should be the most fun, especially for preschool girls, is the cupcake frosting squirter. Bake up some cupcakes with the neat pan, load up the frosting dispenser and you find that the lid that is supposed to screw on pops off with the slightest pressure, as an adult you can awkwardly grab it with both hands to force the lid to stay in place while squirting out some frosting, but as a little kid with small hands, this isimpossible. I have no idea why the lid to the forsting thing was not fully threaded, what a disappointment to what otherwise would have been a great idea.

My eight year old daughter wanted a different decorator toy for Christmas, but after reading reviews, I got this one. It's been great. Easy to put together and easy to use. It also seems pretty durable. We haven't tried all of the tips yet, but the ones we did use were good. Minimal mess (it is frosting after all!). No frustration after I figured out not to fill it all the way to the top. I am not a baker! We also used multiple mini muffin pans.

KitchenAid Silicone 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan with Sled, Red KitchenAid Silicone 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan with Sled, Red

Reviews

The muffin Pan with Sled (Silicone) was purchased as a gift for our daughter. She was quite pleased with the gift. To date she has not as yet used the item.

The product was difficult to handle without a tray. It cooked well and the muffins came out of the pan easily. Handling was the only difficulty I encounted.

I saw the 3-star reviews here, but decided to ignore them as this pan was on sale for a very good price. That was a big mistake. 1. The first problem is with the size of the muffin cups -- they are significantly more shallow than in a typical mini-muffin pan. 2. The silicone warped from the heat while in the oven, spilling the meager contents of the tiny cups over the edges, making flat, crooked, ugly muffins. 3. The silicone did not release the muffins easily. I did spray it with nonstick spray before filling, and allowed the muffins to cool completely before I tried to get them out. I didn't even bother to try and wash it, so I don't have any comment about the ease of washing. I won't be wasting any more time and ingredients in it, so I threw it away. I wish I could get my money back. This is not the quality you would expect from KitchenAid.

We have used silicone baking sheets before, which act as non-stick flexible surface that is easy to clean. We'd been noticing silicone bakeware more and more, and were interested in the idea of having the silicone non-stick, easy-clean surface combined with the baking pan. So we finally decided to purchase the kitchen-aid mini-muffin pan when I was interested in having a nice non-stick mold for making marshmallows. My only comment on the sled is that it does its job. We purchased the pan with sled because the cost was only a little higher. The sled holds the flexible pan well. Unfortunately the pan was not the wonderful non-stick surface that I had hoped. Even after dusting with corn starch, the marshmallows did not come out the least bit easy. Now this was a true test, as marshmallows are extremely sticky. My hopes were a bit high, and it is understandable that this pan failed here. When we used it for making muffins, the muffins came out relatively easy, but not as easy I expected them to come out. They tasted pretty good though. The real problem came in the cleaning. We soaked it in hot water, hand-washed it with a sponge and dish-soap and upon drying, there was clearly visible residue from the muffins! OK, no problem, so we tossed it in the dishwasher (these things are definitely dishwasher safe) and ran it through a standard cycle with dish detergent. After dishwashing, again, there was muffin residue! So I scrubbed and scrubbed with the sponge and soap again, but upon drying, there are still traces of residue. What we thought was a wondeful merger of silicone and muffin-pan was not even close. This product does not compare to those quality silicone-based baking mats, and it is not a good non-stick muffin pan. I believe there are silicone pan products that may live up to the silicone baking mat's reputation. If I was brave enough to try again, I'd look for material that was more shiny than this product and made by a producer that has been doing silicone for awhile (e.g. Demarle). So, as before, we now stick with our silpat for cookies, and use a non-stick metal pan for muffins.

This is a fine muffin pan if you just think of it as such - the sled *does* come in handy when transporting it, and muffins baked in it come out nice and even. However, don't think of this as a nonstick pan. It isn't. While the matte surface makes it look a little nicer in my opinion, it does NOT instantly release anything baked in it like it should. I'm not sure which I'd rather have - a "real" silicone pan that is shiny and releases like it should, but wobbles when you move it, or this pan which is just a regular ol' muffin "tin" made out of a non-metal substance. Use cooking spray - and if you want to try making marshmallows in it (like my husband did), at least think twice. The silver lining is that it cleans up easily and can go in the dishwasher. :) ** Update ** Well, I said there was a silver lining, but I'm taking that back. I put the stinkin' thing in the dishwasher after soaking it in hot soapy water and not being able to get it clean quickly. Guess what? My husband pulled it out and it WASN'T CLEAN!!! So he scrubbed it again. Not clean. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am! I mean, it was blueberry muffins! If you can't use a muffin pan to make muffins, what good is it? I guess we're going back to the ol' metal 12 cup standby... what a shame. If only the silicone were shiny! Wish I could change my star rating to 2 stars now.

One look at this rubbery bakeware and those uninformed about silicone will laugh at the possibility that it's actually safe to bake in it. But safe it is and KitchenAid is just one of many bakeware manufacturers that is producing pans in this revolutionary material...

Kitchenaid Wire Sled With 12 Cup Muffin Pan, Silicone, Blue Kitchenaid Wire Sled With 12 Cup Muffin Pan, Silicone, Blue

Reviews

for some reason this item wore out on the bottom , not worth the money

My cupcakes broke while removing them. The sturdy wire sleigh holds the fussy little silicone piece well but I felt a need to set it on a cookie sheet rather than risk scrubbing a mess up later. I will not buy other silicone baking products, based on my experience with this one and this one will eventually go out in a yardsale.

Works like magic. Bakes muffins perfectly without burning them (amazing for me). Muffins came out very easily after cooling for a couple of minutes. Highly recommended.

My major complaint with standard muffin tins were that after a while, inevitably, they would become rusted, probably from running them through the dishwasher. Plus, I'd always find myself picking stuck-on debris off the inside of the cups after the wash cycle. These new silicone pans are awesome. They wash well in the dishwasher (though they do flop over in there and take up more room than necessary,) and they're a breeze to clean by just swiping a sponge over them. The sled is mandatory, as the pan wouldn't hold its shape without one. Easy storage, too. I'm going to purchase more for gifts.

Love it and use it often the only concern I have is using the wire rack to was too wide to set two side by side in my oven.
